
Accounts Receivable Officer

- Manage accounts receivable by monitoring outstanding invoices, conducting timely follow-ups, and resolving payment issues.
- Lead collections efforts to reduce overdue balances and improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payments, and communications.
- Oversee customer onboarding to ensure smooth setup and alignment with credit policies.
- Review and analyze credit reports to recommend appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Ensure prompt allocation of incoming payments to the correct accounts.
- Issue credit notes in line with company protocols.
- Liaise with the Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to coordinate actions and resolve disputes.
- Support Finance team members with cash flow reporting and forecasting as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and relevant Australian legislation.
- Prepare regular AR reports for management, highlighting overdue accounts and recommending actions.
- Maintain audit-ready AR records and digital filing systems.
- Certificate IV in Accounting, Finance, or relevant qualification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or related finance roles.
- Experience in credit assessment and debt collection is essential.
- Prior experience in the construction, electrical, or related industries will be highly regarded.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
- Strong proficiency with Xero.
- Experience working with SimPRO would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
