Technical Writer

• Create and maintain internal and external documentation including:

• Engineering and architecture docs

• API references (REST, Webhook, GraphQL, etc.)

• SOPs and runbooks for operations and support teams

• Product manuals, release notes, and user guides

• Onboarding documents for internal tools and workflows

• Interview engineers, product leads, and stakeholders to extract domain knowledge and translate it into well-structured documentation.

• Use and manage tools like Confluence, Notion, Google Docs, GitBook, or similar documentation platforms.

• Collaborate with frontend/backend developers and QA to ensure documentation reflects the most current product functionality and technical details.

• Organize and maintain internal knowledge bases with consistent formatting, version control, and discoverability.

• Help implement and manage documentation workflows using AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.) to improve drafting, editing, summaries, and formatting.

• Build templates and reusable components for faster doc creation across teams.

• Review technical content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and tone.

• Track gaps in documentation and proactively recommend solutions.

• 2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or similar role in a tech-driven company (SaaS, platform, API-first, logistics preferred).

• Strong understanding of technical systems, APIs, backend/frontend terminology, and dev workflows.

• Excellent written English and the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, structured formats.

• Proficiency with documentation tools like Notion, Confluence, GitBook, Markdown editors, and Google Workspace.

• Familiarity with version control (Git), developer platforms (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI), and project management tools (ClickUp, Jira, Trello).

• Bonus: Experience documenting microservices, CI/CD processes, data schemas, or API-first platforms.

• Bonus: Background in product management, QA, developer support, or UX writing.

• Use AI (ChatGPT, Jasper, Claude, etc.) to generate document outlines, summarize calls/notes, convert engineering tickets into SOPs, and auto-draft initial content.

• Use AI for rewriting, shortening, or rephrasing complex technical explanations to align with different audience types (internal, external, developer, operations).

• Use tools like Grammarly, Writer.com, or Hemingway Editor for polishing drafts.

• Help shape the internal knowledge culture of a fast-scaling logistics tech company.

• Own documentation processes that impact every part of the business—engineering, operations, product, and support.

• Work remotely and independently with high ownership and visibility.
