Job Description - Payroll Officer (Paymaster) Position Title: Payroll Officer (Paymaster) Department: Human Resources Reports To: Director of Human Resources Job Summary: The Payroll Officer (Paymaster) is responsible for the end-to-end administration of payroll and employee compensation for Seda BGC Hotel. The role ensures that associates' salaries, benefits, and government-mandated contributions are processed accurately and on time, while upholding confidentiality and compliance with labor regulations. This position also supports the Compensation & Benefits function by administering benefits programs and providing accurate reporting to management. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration Accurately prepare and process the hotel's payroll within established timelines. Validate and reconcile timekeeping records, overtime, leave credits, allowances, and deductions in coordination with Department Heads. Generate payroll registers, and ensure timely salary crediting through bank and other payment channels. Maintain accurate and updated employee payroll files. Compensation & Benefits Administration Administer employee benefits including health insurance, leave conversions, allowances, and incentives. Monitor and track leave balances, service charges, and other hotel-specific pay elements. Assist in reviewing compensation structures and benefits packages to ensure competitiveness and compliance. Provide support in salary surveys, benchmarking, and analysis for HR planning. Statutory Compliance Ensure accurate computation and timely remittance of statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR). Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports related to payroll and taxes. Stay updated on changes in labor laws and tax regulations affecting payroll and benefits. Reporting & Audit Support Generate payroll summaries, cost reports, and variance analyses for HR and Finance. Support internal and external audits by providing payroll-related reports and documentation. Ensure strict confidentiality and safekeeping of payroll records. Employee Support Address employee concerns regarding salaries, deductions, and benefits with accuracy and professionalism. Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding and reconciliations. Provide clear communication to employees regarding compensation and benefits policies. Partner Manpower Agency Monitoring Monitor attendance and deployment records of manpower agency staff assigned to the hotel. Validate manpower agency billing against actual rendered services, contracts, and agreed rates. Coordinate with agency representatives and Finance for reconciliation of discrepancies in billings and payments. Ensure compliance of manpower agencies with labor laws, statutory benefits remittances, and hotel service agreements. Show more Show less
