CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client based in South Carolina launched his firm in 2018 with the vision of providing churches with full-service accounting support from professionals who understand the unique challenges and needs of ministry organizations. At that time, few accounting firms specialized in church accounting or offered the hands-on guidance required to navigate day-to-day financial operations. As of 2025, our client's boutique firm serves more than 20 churches, delivering a range of services that include full-service accounting department functions, CFO guidance and advisory support, and tailored financial reporting. The firm's mission is to support executive pastors and their teams by simplifying and managing accounting responsibilities-freeing them to focus on ministry. In doing so, our client builds lasting partnerships rooted in trust, understanding, and shared purpose. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Various bookkeeping activities such as transaction categorization, accounts payable, & payroll Bank & credit card reconciliations General ledger maintenance Adjusting Journal Entries Financial Reporting Month-end and year-end closing procedures Additional duties include: Work closely with clients or our representative to ensure deliverables are on-time and accurate. Provide problem-solving solutions to our team and our clients. Recommend best practices that may be applicable to our approaches. Develop and document processes that can be automated, streamlined, or delegated. Assist with on-boarding new clients and transitioning to our systems. Provide guidance to ensure adherence to GAAP. Perform other duties as requested by the Lead CFO and/or the assigned accounting manager. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related field 3-5 years US Accounting Firm experience, working with multiple clients across different industries. Proficient with QuickBooks Online Strong organizational skills Detail oriented Excellent communication skills Must haves: At least 2 years strong QuickBooks Online experience Nice to haves: Experience working with churches, ministries.
