We are seeking a Structural/Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the crane industry, with strong design experience in overhead cranes and hoists. This is a remote/offshore role that requires collaboration with our Australia-based teams via online platforms. You will be responsible for design, analysis, and documentation, supporting project execution across commercial and industrial lifting applications. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Remotely design mechanical/structural systems for overhead cranes, hoists, trolleys, and bridge structures, ensuring full compliance with Australian Standards. Engineering Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed CAD drawings, design calculations, and specifications. Ensure timely updates to documentation as projects evolve. Remote Collaboration: Communicate effectively with local Australian design, manufacturing, and project teams using digital platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.) to integrate designs and resolve technical queries. Structural Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA), stress, and fatigue assessments using appropriate software. Safety & Standards: Ensure all remote work meets applicable safety codes and industry standards. Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve product performance, reduce costs, and enhance engineering processes while working independently offshore. Essential Criteria: Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering. Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the crane industry, especially with overhead crane and hoist systems. Deep understanding of mechanical/structural design principles. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while coordinating with Australian counterparts.
