CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client is a US-based CPA-led firm built for small business owners, providing clear, practical, and tax-smart financial solutions. They offer a full range of services including bookkeeping, tax, CFO advisory, quality of earnings, tax due diligence, and ASC 740 tailored to every stage of a business's growth. Specializing in e-commerce and entrepreneurs who buy and sell businesses, they help clients scale while maximizing enterprise value. Beyond compliance, they deliver actionable insights and proactive strategies, making them a trusted year-round partner rather than a once-a-year tax contact. Their approach is rooted in transparency, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence, ensuring clients can focus on running and growing their businesses with confidence. This CPA firm is small, but mighty. They have grown significantly over the past 2 years while they have been around, and are up to 3 employees. You would be the first full-time hire, which is a big step for the firm and for the owner! Joining a small firm like this will help you feel like you are helping grow the company instead of feeling like a part of a giant machine. It will also give you access to other areas of administrative work, client service, and new learning opportunities you may not get at a larger firm. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients, from daily transaction classification through to the preparation of accurate financial statements. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations in QuickBooks Online. Track inventory and COGS for e-commerce clients, including A2X integrations and Google Sheets tracking. Create journal entries, maintain fixed asset records, and manage depreciation schedules. Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing engagement letters, pulling time reports, processing client billing in Anchor, and helping build SOPs and dashboards. Be willing to learn new service areas as needed, including sales tax, FP&A, and payroll Handle 1099 filings as needed. Communicate with clients via email when required. Handle other assigned tasks as needed to support the team's workflow. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 3-5 years of US accounting/bookkeeping experience in a US-based firm. Experience working with e-commerce or inventory-based businesses is a big plus. Some experience with US income tax is a plus, but not required Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required; A2X experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Highly self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and proactive. Bonus: LDS member and/or LDS return missionary (not required).
