CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client is a US based firm that helps business owners and artists regain control of their finances so they can focus on what they do best. They specialize in supporting the entertainment industry, working with musicians, influencers, filmmakers, and other creative professionals. Their services include accounting, bookkeeping, tax services, and cash management, delivered with a global perspective and a deep understanding of both business and creative needs. With offices in New York, Los Angeles, and London, they stay ahead of industry changes and leverage technology for efficient, forward thinking solutions. Their commitment to excellence ensures clients receive accurate financial management and proactive guidance for long term success. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and review US personal and business tax returns, including those prepared by external contractors Address tax notices and provide appropriate resolutions Prepare monthly tax estimates Occasionally handle payroll for owners (once or twice per year) Communicate with clients via email Maintain high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines Collaborate with the team and adapt to evolving client needs Handle other assigned tasks as needed to support the team's workflow. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA is a plus Minimum of 3 years of US tax accounting experience (5+ years preferred) Strong experience with QuickBooks Online; experience with ProConnect is highly preferred Familiarity with Gusto payroll is a plus Tech-savvy, adaptable, and able to work independently Strong communication skills Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills Strong attention to detail Results-driven, with a focus on output rather than hours logged ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Personal equipment (laptop or desktop computer) Reliable, stable and high-speed internet A dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions, ensuring confidentiality and optimal focus on tasks.
