CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client is an Arizona-based firm that delivers end-to-end financial solutions for U.S. small businesses, specializing in service-based companies and nonprofits. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage end-to-end monthly and year-end close processes Some day-to-day transactional reconciliations Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheets Spot discrepancies and propose corrections based on financial reviews Communicate directly with clients as needed Support forecasting, budgeting, and light virtual CFO services using tools like Reach Leverage software like QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Financial Sense, Bitwarden, and Loom Handle journal entries and support data cleanups across accounts Assist in improving systems, workflows, and documentation as needed QUALIFICATIONS CPA or equivalent strongly preferred At least 3-5 years of U.S. accounting experience with US accounting firms Experience with nonprofit accounting is highly desirable Proficient in QuickBooks Online and cloud-based financial tools Confident navigating accounting tech stacks (Ramp, Reach, Financial Sense) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to take ownership Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Stable, high-speed internet connection Own equipment (laptop/desktop with at least i5 processor or equivalent) Secure and distraction-free work-from-home environment DESCRIPTION OF IDEAL CANDIDATE Independent & Accountable - You take ownership of your work, stay on top of deadlines, and don't need constant check-ins to stay productive.
