
Employee and Labor Relations Specialist

- Performs administrative and specialized task in the delivery of Labor and Employee Relations services
- Works closely with Employee and Labor Relations Supervisor
- Assists HR and other department in solving labor and employee relations issues.
- Liaises directly with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for filing and submission of labor-related documents.
- Prepares and serves notice to explain, disciplinary sanctions and the end-to-end process of employee cases, memo and notices if necessary.
- Ensures that the corrective actions are done fairly and impartially.
- Schedules or coordinates the details of grievance hearings or other meetings.
- Prepares evidence for disciplinary hearings, including preparing witnesses to testify.
- Monitors company or workforce adherence to labor agreements.
- Advises management on matters related to the administration of contracts or employee discipline or grievance procedures.
- Calls or meets with union, company, government, or other interested parties to discuss labor relations matters, such as contract negotiations or grievances.
- Mediates discussions between employer and employee representatives in attempt to reconcile differences.
- Prepares and submits required governmental reports or forms related to labor relations matters
- Prepares reports or presentations to communicate employee satisfaction or related data to management.
- Performs research on case law or outcomes of previous case hearings.
- Develops methods to monitor employee satisfaction with policies or working conditions, including grievance or complaint procedures.
- Performs extensive customer service which includes answering query related to any HR facet
- Develops employee health and safety policies
- Perform activities related to IMS as QSHEE Coordinator
- Assist and perform audits as part of continuous improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Employee and Labor Relations Supervisor
- Graduate of either BS in Political Science, BS Psychology, or any Science or Business course
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years Employee and Labor Relations experience
- Fosters professional, good working relations
- Amenable to travel as necessary
- Demonstrated strength in regulatory compliance
- Preferably with extensive knowledge on the Philippine Labor Code and its implementing guidelines
- Comprehensive knowledge in policy making and implementation of labor relations and complicit resolution.
- Familiarity with the legal aspects of Human Resource Management
- Maintain high level of confidentiality

- Must be able to attend to administrative requirements on a reasonable amount of time.
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledgeable in MS Office particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook Express
