This role is responsible for developing and executing customer marketing strategies for a specific category within the country. It involves close collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure timely implementation of platform-driven commercialization and growth initiatives. The position also supports the Customer Marketing Manager in selecting and prioritizing initiatives based on local market insights, while ensuring consistent execution across the region.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports CM Manager in the selection of Category projects, initiatives, prioritization and allocation of resources (promotions, mix component of trade spend, etc.)
- Together with Sales, co-manages the Category allocated trade spend, and ensures the establishment and conduct of appropriate controls to manage resources, and leads course correction for the Equity-Building component of trade spending to stay within budget
- Provide information and analysis that will make strengthen the demand management process of the assigned Category
- Supports the CM Manager in identifying opportunities and timely execution of plans to provide scale and efficiency benefits to the Cluster and Category by eliminating duplication of work
- Provide Category support to the Sales Team in the development and presentation of Joint Business Plan with major Global/Regional customers; and also in the development of Category Vision presentation
- Together with Marketing, review and help optimize SKU assortment for the Category, aligned with HQ/Product Supply/Marketing Commercialization directions, and deliver SKU objectives
- Collaborates with Marketing on the development and execution of optimal Special Packs for the Category designed to “leverage your knowledge of the Local Trade, and to help SCJ differentiate & win with Customers” (accounting for no more than 20% of total special packs to be implemented); ensure alignment with Marketing Commercialization/Product Supply and HQ guidelines
- Ensure Trade Bundles developed by the Platform for the assigned Category are appropriately adopted/adapted by the country, and implementation plans are prioritized, resources fairly and optimally allocated, and implementation monitored
- Should have multi-functional experience in Customer Marketing, and either in Sales and/or Marketing, with strong advantage for those with background in a Household Care Company.
- At least 7-10 years in Trade / Customer Marketing experience in FMCG, Sales experience is an advantage
- B/S Marketing, Business, or Engineering course
- Hold a valid PH driver's license
- Knowledge of the Category, pertinent Key Customers, and key Competitive set
- Good track record of delivering objectives consistently
- Strategic mind set, understands the strategic & tactical nature of the business.
- Clear understanding of the different channel Go-To-Market principles/strategies, structures - SSS, Wholesaler, Distributors, and Supermarkets
- Demonstrate ability to manage up and across organization.
- Multi-function and multi-tasking abilities
- Agility to work with multi-national stakeholders
- Understands Nielsen syndicated data
- Full-time, reporting to Makati Office, typical work hours at Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
- Occasional overtime required, particularly in consideration of Fiscal Year Calendar requirements
- 20% of time spent on field, with national-level travel via air potentially 1x a quarter, and international travel potentially 1x a semester
