Ikigai Cases ( ) is a family-owned e-commerce business selling premiu tal pill cases. Founded in December 2021, the business has been operated by two brothers from Washington, DC since then. After four years, the company has grown to selling thousands of pill cases every month and double-digit tea mbers, including a thriving remote team.Our mission is simple: to make exceptional pill cases and provide exceptional customer service. We uphold this commitment by managing our fulfillment operations in-house and offering white-glove service to our customers.We are looking to hire a Financial Operations Manager to join our growing remote team.About You

-You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
-You take pride in your work and are proactive, anticipating the needs of the company and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities
-Accounting and P&L Ownership: Maintain complete and accurate company books, deliver monthly P&L, and ensure financials are GAAP-compliant and audit-ready.
-Budget and Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare monthly budget forecasts. Update balance sheet items and expenses weekly inside the company's cash flow model.
-Payroll Management: Run bi-weekly payroll, handle employee onboarding/offboarding payroll setup, and ensure error-free, on-time payments.
-Tax Compliance: Manage all tax obligations including sales tax, income tax, and state/federal filings. Coordinate with external -Sales Tax agency and approve returns.
-Admin and Risk Management: Manage financial admin projects (insurance, vendor accounts, benefits), ensure compliance, and mitigate operational/financial risk.Required Experience & Skills
-3+ years experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations in senior roles.
-Strong proficiency with Finaloop and/or QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software) - including categorizing transactions and reconciliations.
-Experience preparing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets
-Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills including using SUMIFS and similar formulas.
-Demonstrated ability to create and streamline financial processes
-Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.Preferred Experiences
-Prior experience in e-commerce or a high-growth startup environment.
-Exposure to audit preparation and GAAP-compliant reporting.
-Experience using Notion (or similar task management software)Communication & English Proficiency
-Strong written and verbal English skills.
-Ability to explain financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
-Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners via email.Compensation Details & Schedule
-Compensation: $1,750 per month + performance-based bonuses
-Work Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Hours are 7AM - 5PM EST.
-Paid Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year
-PTO: 1 week earned for every 6 months worked at the companyTo Apply
