ZigZag is looking for a Senior AU Tax Accountant to join our team!*You must be willing to report on a hybrid setup in Ortigas*Working schedule is Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm/6am to 3pm Manila timeThis position will enable you to work on a wide portfolio of clients including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies across a broad range of industry sector.Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and ATO lodgements while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Collaborate closely with senior accountants to ensure compliance, maintain accurate records, and contribute to strategic advisory work for clients.This role is responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing financial statements, and ensuring adherence to Australian tax regulations. Strong background in Australian taxation, experience handling complex tax matters.ResponsibilitiesTax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, latest Australian tax rulesPreparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statement stagePreparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses to a complex level (including large groups, inter-entity reconciliations etc.)Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax and STP;Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, management reporting;Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained.RequirementsAccounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.Completed or working towards completion CA / CPA.At least 3 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within AustraliaThorough understanding of Australia and/or taxation legislation, including but not limited to GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7AStrong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skillsAbility to be able to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficientlyExperience with MYOB, XeroStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workloadCollaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider business.Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metricsPowered by JazzHR
