
Outpatient Call Center Representative

- Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously in a remote call center environment.
- Effectively transfer calls to the appropriate internal departments.
- Schedule new patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Obtain insurance coverage details, complete eligibility and benefit verification.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
- Follow up on patient requests and ensure prompt resolution.
- Document all interactions clearly and accurately in the system.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to manage calls and patient information.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Experience: Prior call center or healthcare-related customer service experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Patience, empathy, and sensitivity to patients' needs.
- Ability to multitask and work across multiple systems.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
