- Design and develop electrical subsystems for hybrid vehicle retrofits, including battery packs, electric motors, and power converters
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into vehicle platforms
- Conduct system simulations, modeling, and validation testing to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards
- Develop embedded control algorithms and contribute to firmware/software for power management systems
- Support prototype assembly, bench testing, and field trials of hybrid drive components
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues and recommend design improvements
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics and test reports
- Stay current with advances in battery technology, power electronics, and vehicle electrification trends
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners for component sourcing and integration.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in power electronics, battery systems, or automotive/industrial electrification
- Strong understanding of high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, and regenerative braking technologies
- Experience with embedded systems design and control software development highly desirable
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or equivalent
- Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for heavy vehicle electrification
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Prior experience in mining, heavy machinery, or hybrid vehicle projects is a plus
