The Electrical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site technical expertise in the execution, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, with a focus on medium to high voltage powerline installation and power distribution. The role requires hands-on knowledge of substations, transformers, and 69 kV systems, ensuring safe and reliable electrical infrastructure. Experience in FMCG projects is essential due to the strict safety and operational standards in this environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support site execution of electrical works including medium to high voltage (up to 69 kV) powerline installation, substation set-up, and transformer connections.
- Provide technical support in designing and reviewing power connection layouts, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and FMCG-specific requirements.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage electrical systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of electrical infrastructure.
- Monitor site activities to ensure strict adherence to electrical and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to power systems, distribution lines, and installations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and electrical drawings.
- Support initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical systems.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer (preferred).
- Strong experience in electrical installation and power distribution projects, ideally within FMCG or industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of substations, transformers, and medium to high voltage systems (up to 69 kV).
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards, local codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical designs and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, especially in managing site and contractor activities.
