The Program Chair is responsible for the academic operations of the assigned academic program in accordance with the institutional strategic plans and goals. He/She assumes general responsibility and exercise supervision with respect to the educational policies of the program Primary Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of course offerings, schedules, and faculty and room assignments for the AY 2023-24. Assist in Academic Advising Institutes proper instructional methodologies of instruction for core and professional subjects of the program. Recommends books for addition in the library collection. Coordinates implementation of academic policies and regulations. Guides faculty members in the preparation of teaching and learning materials. Ensures prompt submission and collection of the grades of students at the end of the trimester for submission to the Registrar's Office. Participates in the development of student relations. Ensures the efficacy of the faculty in delivering instruction by developing a system of monitoring and evaluation apart from the student evaluation. Monitors and evaluates faculty performance. Assist in the recruitment of faculty members to teach Arts and Design subjects for the AY 2023-24. Keeps faculty informed of department, college, and institutional plans, policies, activities, and expectations. Monitors the attendance of the faculty in their respective classes. Teaching Load and Administrative Time Teach the SODA subjects Be available for Student Consultation Conduct Weekly Department Meetings Attend Weekly Academics Council Meetings Qualifications Program Chair for Multimedia Arts/Animation Program - Full-Time Bachelors and Masters Degree in Multimedia Arts, Fine Arts, or any Applied Arts-related Area.
