They help operators eliminate manual work, reduce errors, and ship faster. Mission for This Role Own cold outreach and meeting generation with the right buyers. Build targeted lists, run direct-response campaigns (email + LinkedIn), book demos, and keep the CRM/reporting clean so we can forecast and scale. Use AI only as a speed boost (drafting, research), not the strategy. Ideal Customer Profile (who you'll target) Titles: COO, CTO, VP/Dir. Operations, VP/Dir. Engineering/IT, Head of Integrations, Agency/Systems-Integrator owners Company size: SMB mid-market; project-driven orgs with integration pain (e-comm, ERP/accounting, logistics, SaaS) Buyer vibe: practical, technical, often male 50s-60s, collaborates closely with programmers Core Outcomes (KPIs) Meetings booked: 6-10 qualified per month (ramp to 12-16 by Day 90) Top-of-funnel: 60-100 new qualified accounts/contacts added weekly Activity & conversion: 200-400 targeted cold emails/week, 8-12% positive interest on segmented sends CRM hygiene: 100% active opps with next step + date; weekly pipeline/margin snapshot Responsibilities Prospecting & List Build: Use Clay to source/enrich accounts/contacts; segment by vertical/use-case Direct-Response Outbound: Write short, plain-spoken emails + LinkedIn DMs; light calling when useful Campaign Ops: Warm newsletters in Mailchimp; cold via sequencer of choice (or manual 1:1 for high value) CRM & Reporting: Maintain Insightly (stages, tasks, notes); weekly KPI report; clean handoffs to delivery Demo Orchestration: Calendar coordination, brief prep, post-demo recaps, proposals/follow-ups Light AI Assist: Draft subject lines/snippets, summarize calls, research accounts (speed, not strategy) Admin: Track time/invoices in FreshBooks Required Experience 2-5+ years B2B outbound lead gen or SDR/AE experience (services/tech/agency preferred) Direct-response copy chops; concise, no fluff; can speak to operators + programmers Proven CRM discipline (Insightly or similar), list-building, and multi-channel follow-up Comfortable relating to a practical, senior buyer (clear ROI, fewer buzzwords) Tools: Insightly, FreshBooks, Mailchimp, Clay (or can learn Clay fast) Nice to Have Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, ERPs/accounting, e-commerce platforms (enough to qualify use-cases) Light call blocks; voicemail + text etiquette for execs Basic data hygiene/CSV wrangling Compensation Paid hourly + performance bonus per qualified meeting and per closed SOW.
