The Senior Buyer for Packaging will handle global category management and support the category manager by contributing to the category sourcing strategies and ensuring alignment with Jollibee Foods Corporation's (JFC) procurement policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Identifying stakeholder requirements and execution of category plans
  • Supply base optimization, market knowledge assimilation, analysis and application
  • Managing the supplier lifecycle - accreditation, onboarding, performance and phase out
  • Ensuring local sourcing practices and processes conform to overall procurement policies.
  • Suggesting and working with the procurement leadership team to establish, process improvements, contributing to implementation and adherence on-site.
  • Partnering with Global Procurement teams and internal stakeholders
The Senior Buyer will also handle global responsible sourcing and oversee supplier management and procurement activities to ensure ESG and responsible sourcing practices are applied across global and local suppliers.
This includes managing key databases, engaging in stakeholder management, and supporting project and supplier management activities related to responsible sourcing.The role requires taking a leadership role in recommending strategic responsible sourcing decisions, supporting supplier negotiations, and shaping policies.There is greater autonomy, manages larger projects, and has influence over procurement's sustainability strategies and commitments.The role requires in-depth research, market scan, analysis of suppliers' sustainability data, and alignment with procurement strategies.The Senior Buyer will also support the Global Category Managers (GCM) to ensure smooth implementation of sustainability initiatives and supplier engagement activities.Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in any of the following: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability (preferred) or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in procurement or responsible sourcing. Prior exposure to category management, procurement or an engineering or operational environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting a multi-disciplinary team in a project-led environment. Prior experience in sustainable sourcing practices, supplier engagement, and risk management is highly desirable also.
  • Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid Work Setup).
