Job Description :This role entails planning, allocating, and overseeing the seamless and efficient transfer of trucks. This position encompasses monitoring activities within Regional Centers (RC), supervising linehaul operations from RC to Hubs, and providing timely updates to stakeholders regarding shipment status. Additionally, the role maintains precise records, verifies partnership billing, and fosters communication among pertinent teams.Key Responsibilities:1. Supplier Management:
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with vendors in line with day-to-day Ops.
2. Fleet and Route Management
  • Schedule truck arrival and departure effectively to reduce idle time, utilizing real-time adjustments.
  • Develop optimal truck routing and implement strategies to maximize route efficiency and truck utilization while minimizing costs.
3. Forecasting and Planning:
  • Ensure consistent truck availability for transporting orders to hubs.
  • Schedule daily truck call times, considering RC throughput and loading dock availability.
  • Align all plans with MM operations and regularly review forecast accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts to anticipate transport needs accurately.
  • Develop and execute plans for sale campaigns two weeks in advance.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Report on fleet performance, route efficiency, and turnaround times.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transport availability and efficiency.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks in truck turnaround times.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular performance review meetings.
  • Monitor vendor performance according to set metrics and expectations
  • Share vendor metrics with the MM Strategy team and provide feedback to RC and hubs.
5. Coordination and Communication:
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable SOPs
  • Collaborate closely with RC and operations teams to ensure seamless transport integration.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Adjust plans based on feedback to continuously improve operational efficiency.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in transportation logistics; focus on linehaul operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and plan effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, truckers, and drivers.
  • Proficiency in using Google Sheets and Google Suites
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and real-time tracking tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
