Role Purpose: As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing accurate project programs and ensuring adherence to timelines. This mid-level position will give you the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resources, mitigate risks, and maintain consistent planning standards. Key Responsibilities: Planning & Pre-Construction: Collaborate with the Business Development team, Estimating, and Pre-Contracts managers to understand client requirements and seek clarifications on project scope. Develop robust project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and construction methodologies. Incorporate innovative technologies like 4D planning to optimize construction workflows and timelines. Evaluate time-related risks and opportunities during the bid phase. Project Execution & Monitoring: Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to plans, identifying deviations and recommending mitigation strategies. Support Commercial teams in negotiating revised terms, timelines, and contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Investigate delay and disruption events and assist in entitlement claims. Stakeholder Management: Maintain ongoing communication with business heads, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to anticipate project risks and address emerging challenges. Collaborate with internal teams to address concerns and propose solutions tailored to client needs. Qualifications & Skills:Required Qualifications: Degree in Building/Civil Engineering or equivalent field. Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction project planning. Proficiency in planning software such as P6, Asta PP, or Tilos. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of construction methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder management. Basic understanding of construction contracts, especially in the Philippines or similar regions. Effective communication and a willingness to learn about emerging trends in construction planning.
