As a Data Scientist within our team, you will take ownership of data-driven tasks, developing approaches and processes to achieve goals with an emphasis on advanced programming, research, and analytics. You will collaborate directly with key stakeholders across functions and lines-of-business, effectively operating in a senior analyst capacity.Job Responsibilities:

Work with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard, and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize, and analyze data.
Convert data into actionable insights.
Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings.
Leverage statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
Design controlled experiments to test and validate hypotheses.
Translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Deep understanding of data structure and strong SQL skills.
Experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Practical understanding of advanced statistics, A/B testing, machine learning, and data mining.
Ability to explain and convert complex concepts into digestible information for audiences at various levels of the business.
Strong storytelling capabilities.
Aptitude for learning new theory and new technology.
Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar STEM discipline.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Master's Degree with 2+ years of advanced analytics experience.
Functional industry experience in finance, operations, sales, marketing, credit/risk, or technology.
Knowledge of the mortgage industry.
