The Sales Coordinator supports the marine sales team in achieving business objectives by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations and presentations, following up on sales leads, processing orders, and coordinating with suppliers and logistics. This role ensures smooth sales operations, professional communication, and high customer satisfaction in the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, quotations, and tender submissions for marine equipment, spare parts, and services.
  • Create and design PowerPoint presentations and sales materials for client meetings, product showcases, and management reviews.
  • Follow up proactively on sales leads, quotations, and customer inquiries to convert opportunities into sales.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, ship chandlers, and technical teams to obtain pricing, lead times, and product information.
  • Process sales orders and maintain accurate records in ERP or CRM systems.
  • Liaise with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of marine supplies and proper documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and provide timely, professional responses.
  • Support account managers in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries.
  • Ensure all documentation related to sales orders, invoices, delivery notes, and certificates is accurate and properly filed.
  • Collaborate with technical, operations, and finance teams to resolve order or payment issues.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing teams for events, exhibitions, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in sales coordination, lead management, or customer service, preferably within the marine, shipping, or offshore industry (but not required)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Good understanding of lead management and follow-up processes.
  • Knowledge of marine documentation and import/export procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
