KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation and follow up any taking and banking variances with stores. Ensure bank reconciliation is up to date
  • Organize store deposit book
  • Manage all store EFTPOS inquiries, including application for new store terminals and Amex, EFTPOS returns, etc.
  • Credit card applications and management
  • Review credit card coding in Concur and correct where necessary. Ensure all credit card users code, submit, and receive approval of their credit card expenses before month end
  • Assist in online team queries
  • Work with online team and ensure aged outstanding mail orders are cleared
  • Oversee staff allowance account and conduct quarterly check to write off the balance where the staff's employment ends
  • Prepare cash flow report
  • Look after all Decjuba Foundation related financials
  • Manage fit-out contribution invoicing and amortisation
  • Manage all leases through Lease Eagle, including entering new leases, following up with leasing team regarding expired leases, and updating data related to existing leases where necessary. Ensure all rent invoices are entered into Lease Eagle before month end and investigate any variances between actual charges and lease terms
  • Prepare and send out monthly store sales figures
  • Assist in month-end journal entries and reporting
  • Assist in preparation of end-of-financial-year reconciliations and workpapers, as well as coordination of both internal and external audit
  • Other ad hoc reports
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Reports delivered accurately and on time
  • All variances in balance sheet reconciliation are investigated and adjustments made accordingly. Sense check conducted and supporting documents verified
  • Proficient in time management
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and works independently
  • Makes decisions when required
  • Strong task management skills; able to schedule and prioritize based on circumstances
  • Takes initiative
  • Always looking for areas/processes that can be improved and takes action when approved
  • Explores new methods/skills to increase work efficiency
  • Further study in accounting is encouraged
