Job Summary: Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing Group. Provides support to Production Planning and Control on all supply issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements. UCT is looking for a talented Mgr, Purchasing to join us in Philippines! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages all purchasing functions related to negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and purchasing systems. Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials and supplies. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet build requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develop material schedules and plan requirements for purchasing materials, using MRP and other planning systems. Work closely with customers and other UCT sites to transition materials for new products. Work closely with internal groups, including engineering, quality, and sales to ensure functional specifications are met, parts are available as needed, and product quality is maintained. Selects, develops and evaluate staff members to ensure the efficient operation of purchasing-related functions.
