A/R Collections Expert - Medical Billing (Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy) Location: Remote - Philippines Employment Type: Full-Time (Mid Shift) Role Summary The A/R Collections Expert will be responsible for ensuring timely recovery of outstanding claims in U.S. medical billing, with a focus on Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services. This position requires in-depth knowledge of payer policies, denial management, and collections best practices to support revenue cycle goals. Key Responsibilities Manage insurance collections for major commercial carriers (Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, UHC). Investigate denials, underpayments, and rejections to determine corrective actions or appeals. Apply therapy billing expertise including CPT codes, modifiers, and medical necessity requirements. Coordinate with billing and posting teams for payment reconciliation and ledger accuracy. Maintain clean aging reports, ensuring accurate documentation within EHR/billing platforms. Understand and process third-party liability claims efficiently. Required Qualifications 2-4 years of U.S. medical billing experience, preferably in therapy billing. Proven success in collections and payer recovery. Familiarity with EHR/billing software (e.g., WebFusion, Practice Perfect, Clinic Source). Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High attention to detail, persistence, and strong organizational discipline. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a therapy-focused billing firm or U.S. therapy practice. Familiarity with clearinghouses (Availity, Office Ally, etc.).
