Job Overview: The SMSF Accountant will support business services in handling assigned client(s) by the partner or client counterpart in the preparation of reports and workpapers for multiple SMSF clients. This role will have the opportunity to manage client portfolio tasks and deadlines as well as communicate to the respective client engagement team. Work Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00pm Work Setup: Work onsite during the first two weeks, then transition to a hybrid setup. Onsite presence is required during monthly and quarterly team meetings and as needed by the manager or client. Office Assignment: MAKATI OFFICE: 22F Tower 1, One Ayala Corporate Center, Ayala Ave., Makati City JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare financial statements, tax return and audit file for SMSF clients Preparation of workpapers in line with the client&aposs standards and processes Ensure compliance with SMSF regulations and organizational guidelines Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other regulatory returns Preparation of year-to-date reconciliation and interim reports at request Preparation of ad hoc reports for special events in SMSFs, including TBAR reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation Financial and internal requirements: Daily input of time into the client&aposs practice management system Daily communication with client engagement team on priorities and actions Highly responsive to emails and communication from client relationship team Awareness to time, budget and KPI expectations Provision of queries to client engagement team Filing of relevant client information to the relevant internal database Communication Platforms: Office 365 (Emails, Workflow, Requirements/Procedures) Microsoft Teams (Meetings, telephone calls and instant messaging) APS (Practice Management System) JOB QUALIFICATIONS: BS Accountancy graduate CPA or non-CPA At least 1.5 to 2 years' experience in SMSF Accounting or a related field Understands SMSF regulations, accounting, and financial reporting principles and practices Has handled approximately 100 SMSF accounts Strong written and verbal English skills Knowledge of SMSF accounting systems (e.g. SuperMate or Class Super or BGL360) Well organized and detail-oriented Able to conduct training for new staff members if needed Has analytical mind Able to work on their own initiative and part of a team Strong problem-solving skills Experience managing multiple client portfolios preferred What D&V Philippines can offer you: D&V Philippines is a place where you can build and grow your career because we invest in your training and development.
