Job Summary: The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records in compliance with accounting principles and internal policies. This role plays a key part in supporting the Financial Control Division through transactional analysis, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring the integrity of the general ledger. Duties and Responsibilities: Record all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger, including entries for revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity. Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, subsidiary to general ledger) to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of adjusting journal entries and accruals. Generate timely and accurate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Monitor changes in accounting regulations and recommend updates to internal processes as needed. Support internal and external audits by preparing and submitting required documentation and explanations. Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. Ensure strict adherence to eTap's safety, security, and information security policies. Perform other related duties as may be assigned. Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in general ledger accounting (preferred). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
