We’re Smartsourcing, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant to join one of our purpose-led clients. In this role, you’ll handle end-to-end accounting, tax compliance, payroll, and reporting, while mentoring junior staff and improving financial processes. If you’re passionate about numbers, precision, and making a real impact in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.📍 Where You’ll BeJEG Tower, Archbishop Reyes, Corner Acacia St., Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu Your Role as Senior AccountantAs a Senior Accountant, you’ll be the go-to financial partner—making sure ledgers are clean, compliance is on track, and reports are timely and accurate. You’ll also mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality work while building a culture of accountability and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct and Business Knowledge
  • Develop a solid understanding of the client’s business, products, and workflows.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in accounting and financial processes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior staff.
Financial Accounting, Management, and Reporting
  • Track and monitor the Accounts Receivable Aging Report
  • Facilitate collections, issue receipts, and collect necessary documents (e.g BIR Forms, PEZA Certificates, etc.)
  • Prepare reminders and/or collection letters to clients for past due accounts
  • Prepare bookkeeping, analysis of accounting transactions and bank reconciliation
  • Perform Financial Statement Analysis and Budget Requirement
  • Submit accounting reports within the specified timelines.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on Finance policies and processes
  • Computation of Tax dues such as but not limited to VAT, Income Tax, Expanded Wtax, Wtax on Compensation
  • Tax Planning and Tax Management
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned by the CFO
Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
  • Calculate withholding taxes and statutory benefits.
  • File and remit compliance reports to relevant agencies.
Customer and Investor Management
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Handle accreditations, renewals, and compliance-related documents.
  • Ensure timely, clear communication with client contacts.
Office Administration
  • Track company assets and supplies.
  • Assist with business permits and statutory filings.
  • Handle internal requests and ensure smooth operational support.
  • Safeguard sensitive company and client data under the Data Privacy Act.
Ad Hoc
  • Support the CFO with projects, analysis, and special assignments.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • At least 4 years of proven accounting experience, ideally in corporate or client-facing environments.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, compliance, and Philippine tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to conduct internet research, gather relevant information, and synthesize findings.
  • Have a positive, resourceful approach and excellent organizational
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini) is a plus.
