This role is critical in ensuring accurate fund-level reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely delivery of capital and performance reporting to investors. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in fund structures, partnership accounting, and investment industry operations. JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple funds, including private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds. Manage and review capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, and other investor transactions. Prepare and review financial statements, capital account summaries, and investor reports in compliance with GAAP and fund-specific requirements. Supervise month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations of cash, investments, and capital accounts. Coordinate with external auditors, fund administrators, and tax advisors for annual audits and filings. Develop and maintain fund-level financial models and performance tracking tools. Assist in onboarding new funds, legal entities, and investor classes. Provide oversight and mentoring to junior fund accountants and analysts. Support strategic finance initiatives, internal reporting, and special projects as assigned by leadership. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. 4-8 years of experience in fund accounting, partnership accounting, or public accounting with a focus on investment funds. Solid understanding of investment structures (LP/GP, SPVs, feeder funds), waterfall models, and capital allocations. Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, eFront, QuickBooks, NetSuite). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience working with private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or fund administrators is a strong plus.
