About Us Breaking Silence Movement is a mission-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization united by a global network of passionate volunteers dedicated to ending gender-based violence (GBV). Through comprehensive prevention, mitigation, and response strategies (GBV Programming), Breaking Silence aims to create safer communities worldwide, free of GBV. You should have a strong understanding of social media trends, analytics, and content creation, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Responsibilities Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with Breaking Silence Movement&aposs mission and goals. Identify target audiences, key messaging, and platforms to effectively reach and engage diverse stakeholders. Content Creation: Create engaging and compelling content for Breaking Silence Movement&aposs social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Develop a content calendar and plan for regular posting to maintain a consistent presence and drive audience engagement. Leverage creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut) to produce high-quality graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets. Community Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions and build relationships with Breaking Silence Movement&aposs online community. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Encourage dialogue, share user-generated content, and amplify supporter voices. Campaign Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of social media campaigns and initiatives to support Breaking Silence Movement&aposs advocacy priorities. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure campaign messaging is consistent and effective across all channels. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, and conversion rates. Use data insights to evaluate the effectiveness of social media strategies and campaigns, and make recommendations for optimization and improvement. Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation to keep Breaking Silence Movement&aposs social media presence fresh, relevant, and impactful. Brand Management: Uphold Breaking Silence Movement&aposs brand identity and voice across all social media channels. Ensure that content is aligned with brand guidelines, messaging, and values. Monitor brand mentions and sentiment, and respond appropriately to maintain a positive reputation. Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with other departments within Breaking Silence Movement to align social media efforts with organizational priorities and objectives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; students currently pursuing these programs or candidates with equivalent experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Proven experience managing social media platforms for an organization, brand, or advocacy campaign. Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut. Strong understanding of social media analytics and experience using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or similar. Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and content creation skills tailored for diverse audiences. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to social justice, gender equality, and human rights. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and social media scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later). Note: This is a volunteer position and does not offer financial compensation at this time; however, we are able to provide academic credits if required, in accordance with the requirements of your academic institution.
