Job Description Based in Manila, Philippines, the candidate will lead Ant International's public policy and government affairs engagement in the Philippines. The individual will also work with our ecosystem partners in driving positive impact on sustainability in the Philippines. The role will report to our Government Affairs Director for Indonesia and the Philippines. This role involves working closely with colleagues based in our international headquarters in Singapore, as well as colleagues around the world, to support Ant International's mission to offer digital services that facilitate the sustainable growth of global commerce. We are looking to hire a versatile, seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the evolving geopolitical and technological landscape. This role will require the successful candidate to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across diverse professional backgrounds and cultures. Main Responsibilities - Analyze the political, economic, and payment system dynamics of the Philippines impacting Ant International's business and solutions in the market-monitor policy and regulatory developments, anticipate risks and opportunities, evaluate their impact on our businesses, and recommend mitigation actions. - Provide day-to-day support, strategic advice, and recommendations to our businesses, and communicate closely with business leaders and other internal stakeholders on key initiatives. - Engage policymakers, including lawmakers and regulators, to build awareness of the nature of our business and the benefits it brings to economies. - Work alongside our legal and compliance team to secure and maintain regulatory approvals. - Manage day-to-day engagement with industry associations as well as other relevant third-party relationships. Requirement - At least 8-10 years of public policy and government affairs experience, including experience in government as well as engaging government on behalf of the private sector. - Demonstrated ability to provide both political and domestic political analysis. - Understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape of cross-border trade, digital payments, fintech, or the tech sector as a whole. - Ability to inspire confidence through effective communication and the patience to work across cultures and time zones. - Willingness to represent our business in front of governments, as well as at fintech and other relevant policy forums throughout the region and around the world. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - A commitment to confidentiality and ethics.
