- Establish Project schedules including resourcing, logic sequence and duration of each phase of the project including project development, planning approvals, land acquisition, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transport, construction and commissioning.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the project schedule in accordance with the company procedures.
- Ensure contractual progress performance is tracked and reported against the Project Master Schedule baseline and all outcomes, risks and concerns are identified and communicated with all project stakeholders.
- Read and interpret all typical design deliverables such as flow sheets, P&ID's drawings, equipment lists and other data required to prepare and maintain a Project Schedule.
- Review, interpret and provide coordination of the various detailed sub-schedules from other contractors and consultants at regular intervals.
- Following the progress updates, the Senior Planner will be required to analyse the PMS and identify:
- Roles and Responsibility assignment to activities
- Resource requirements
- Critical or schedule risk tasks
- S curves - Progress, manning, commodities
- Contract strategies or opportunities
- Evaluate project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives. Recognise progress concerns and report immediately to the Project Managers to ensure projects are completed within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Forecast and assess trends for accurate schedule maintenance and to provide information that assists with project management goals.
- Co-ordinate progress meetings with key stakeholders and communicate any issues or concerns
- Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
- Proactively support other team members as required to ensure schedule targets are understood and project deliverables are met.
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification is desired.
- 8+ years' postgraduate experience in a similar position.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
