- Directly manage a team of 4-8 operations specialists covering business operations, accounting/HR, administrative support, sales/marketing support and business technology
- Provide strategic guidance, performance management, and professional development for team members with diverse skill sets
- Foster a collaborative remote work culture and recruit/onboard new team members as the company scales
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations including A/R management, billing cycles, payment processing, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain relationships with CPAs and external financial advisors
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, budgeting processes, and annual planning processes
- Design and implement scalable back-office processes that enable our professional services and sales teams to focus on client delivery and business development
- Collaborate with Business Operations Technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management
- Drive data-informed decision making through KPI development, reporting systems, and operational analytics
- Lead recruiting and hiring processes across all departments to support company growth Support sales and marketing teams with operational processes, lead management,
- Manage relationships with external consultants and service providers, coordinating projects in areas outside your direct expertise
- Evaluate and onboard new service providers as business needs evolve
- 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably managing remote or distributed teams
- Strong finance and bookkeeping background with hands-on experience in financial operations and compliance
- Experience managing HR functions including recruiting, payroll, and compliance and managing external consultants and vendors across multiple disciplines
- Systematic and methodical approach to building scalable operational processes
- Strong analytical thinking with ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to critical details
- Excellent at creating structure and order from multi-faceted operational challenges
- Results-oriented with focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred), ERP systems, and CRM/marketing platforms and technologies
- Experience with project management tools
- Understanding of HR compliance, payroll systems, and employee lifecycle management
