About The Job The postdoctoral fellowship position is a temporary position where the main goal is to qualify for work in senior academic positions. This Postdoctoral researcher position is associated with the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK) at NTNU Gj vik under the funding of the SFI Norwegian Center for Cybersecurity in Critical Sectors (NORCICS) . The researcher will be part of the eHealth and Welfare Security group (eHWS) . The researcher work will be jointly supervised by Professor Bian Yang ( [HIDDEN TEXT] ). You will report to the Head of the Department. Duties of the position The Postdoctoral Researcher is expected to investigate into the real-life challenges for patients to manage healthcare services they receive, typically under a comorbid situation, and construct a large-language-model based AI agent that are efficient, safe / trustworthy, secure, and privacy-preserving in day-to-day management of healthcare services in a home environment, in connection and coordination with other parties (hospital, municipality, paramedics, etc.). This research will focus on the AI agent's trustworthiness, security, and privacy aspects, including investigation and demonstration of the safety and trustworthiness of the AI agent and its connected system in a homecare scenario; health information protection and patient privacy protection; and the reliability of security and privacy policy management assisted by such an AI agent. Other Duties Include Collaborating closely with researchers and IT / security staffs from the inland hospital trust and Norwegian municipalities towards a demonstrator of the research result Contributing to NORCICS' research and innovation initiatives The position is part of SFI NORCICS, the new 8-year research-based innovation Norwegian Center for Cybersecurity in Critical Sectors. These sectors include electricity production and distribution, oil & gas production and distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, industrial production, financial services, transportation, smart districts. NORCICS follows a holistic, comprehensive and systemic approach addressing people, processes and technology to protect critical sectors throughout the cybersecurity core functions (identify, protect, detect, respond, recover). Required Selection Criteria You must have completed a Norwegian doctoral degree or corresponding foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in AI, computer science, information security, health informatics, or a closely-relevant field. If you can document that the PhD thesis has been submitted, your application can be assessed even if you have not yet defended your dissertation. Documentation of the obtained doctoral degree must be presented before you can take up the position. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund The period of employment is 2 years. The engagement is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning State Employees and Civil Servants , and the acts relating to Control of the Export of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology.
