- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term strategies for the electronics division, aligning with company goals and market trends.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
- Haircare Category Accountability: Accountable for all activities within the electronics team for the Haircare category, consisting of several sub-function teams for both hardware and software, ensuring robust electronics solutions that meet product performance, safety, and reliability.
- Deliverables Management: Ensure deliverables are of high maturity to meet project requirements, on time and on cost for PCBA and other hardware modules or sub-assemblies.
- Problem Solving: Provide technical leadership and work closely with team members to solve problems related to product safety, EMC, reliability, and quality, and integrate electronics solutions within the product.
- Strategy and KPIs: Set and deliver the strategy, goals, and target KPIs for a high-performing electronics hardware team. Actively identify gaps and areas for continuous improvement in design capability, process, cost, time to market, safety, and reliability.
- Professional Development: Responsible for the professional development of all individuals within the team through coaching, mentoring, and regular career conversations about their aspirations and development plans.
- Capability Building: Build capability and capacity to balance between NPD and sustaining projects, meeting long-term program needs by identifying skill gaps within the team and taking responsibility for each team member's wellbeing, performance, and professional goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement in product safety, reliability, quality, cost reduction, and development time reduction, aiming to build knowledge and improve organically.
- Collaboration: Establish excellent communication and a collaborative mindset with other RDD Leaders across Engineering and Category teams to solve problems and introduce improvements collectively.
- Design Status Reporting: Report and ensure clear communication of the design status, ensuring relevant system electronics design risks are clearly communicated to peers and upwards.
- Leadership by Example: Lead by example, setting high standards of work ethics.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (master's preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics product development and manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and site management.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
