We're now seeking a skilled Paralegal with strong lien negotiation experience to join our remote team and help us maximize client recoveries while managing complex lien scenarios.What You'll Do
As a Paralegal focused on lien negotiation, you'll play a critical role in the settlement process. Your main responsibility will be to negotiate, reduce, and resolve liens to ensure our clients receive the highest possible net recovery.KeyResponsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records, billing statements, and insurance documentation to identify lien claims
- Communicate and negotiate with medical providers, insurance companies, and lienholders (Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, private insurers, etc.)
- Prepare lien summaries and net settlement breakdowns for attorney review
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all lien communications and reductions
- Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to ensure all liens are accurately resolved before disbursement
- Follow up on outstanding lien resolution issues to ensure timely case closure
- Ensure compliance with state and federal lien resolution laws and protocols
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with specific expertise in lien negotiation
- Strong knowledge of medical liens, subrogation rights, and reimbursement obligations
- Familiarity with personal injury law and settlement processes
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment
- Tech-savvy - experience with legal case management software preferred
- Prior work with ERISA, Medicare/Medicaid, or military liens
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
