Own and enhance Shopify themes, working hands-on with Liquid, JSON templates, and the Shopify asset pipeline to deliver high-quality storefront experiences.
Build engaging front-end features using modern JavaScript (ES6+), contributing directly to customer-facing functionality.
Create and improve reusable UI components using React (hooks, context, routing), collaborating closely with product and design teams.
Develop scalable, maintainable styling systems using styled-components (CSS-in-JS).
Compile and minify JavaScript bundles, maintaining and improving existing codebases.
Manage builds and dependencies using modern JavaScript toolchains such as Node.js, npm, and Webpack (or similar).
Contribute to smooth Shopify deployments, using Shopify CLI, GitHub, and Git-based version control workflows.
Help optimise performance and user experience, applying best practices around Core Web Vitals and front-end performance improvements.

Key Criteria

At least 4+ years' experience as a Front-End Developer.
Strong experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, JSON templates, Shopify CLI).
Solid skills in JavaScript (ES6+) and React (hooks, context, routing).
Experience with modern front-end tooling (Node.js, npm, Webpack, GitHub).
Understanding performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals.
Experience working in the retail sector is highly desirable.

Work setup:

Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT) Full-time in office during probation. Moving to Hybrid set up afterwards.
