Job Overview: The Tax Accountant Supervisor (AU) will support business services in handling assigned client(s) by the partner or client counterpart in the preparation of tax returns and workpapers for multiple clients. This role will have the opportunity to manage client portfolio tasks and deadlines as well as communicate with the respective client engagement team. Work Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00pm Work Setup: Work onsite during the first two weeks, then transition to a hybrid setup. Onsite presence is required during monthly and quarterly team meetings and as needed by the manager or client. Office Assignment: MAKATI OFFICE: 22F Tower 1, One Ayala Corporate Center, Ayala Ave., Makati City JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation of income tax returns Ensure compliance with organisational guidelines and procedures, and relevant regulations Preparation of special purpose financial reports Preparation of Fringe benefits tax returns Perform tax planning for clients Preparation of workpapers in line with the client&aposs standards and processes Preparation of Business Activity Statements Assist with quarterly and annual tax compliance matters General business administration Financial and internal requirements: Daily input of time into the client&aposs practice management system Daily communication with client engagement team on priorities and actions Highly responsive to emails and communication from client relationship team Awareness to time, budget and KPI expectations Provision of queries to client engagement team Filing of relevant client information to the relevant internal database JOB QUALIFICATIONS: BS Accountancy graduate CPA or non-CPA Minimum of 3 years of Australian Tax experience 5-7 years of combined work experience in finance and accounting or tax preparation; understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Knowledgeable in Australian Tax Compliance like Income Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, BAS, IAS, etc. Strong written and verbal English skills Has Intermediate level of Excel skills (e.g. Vlookup, Xlookup, pivot tables, sumifs, tables, etc.) Well organized and detail-oriented Has analytical mind Open to learning new software Client focused with a strong commitment to quality service and client relationships Knowledgeable in using Xero preferred Ability to identify and escalate technical issues when they arise Experience managing multiple client portfolios preferred What D&V Philippines can offer you: D&V Philippines is a place where you can build and grow your career because we invest in your training and development.
