The Role:The HR Assistant is responsible for providing essential administrative assistance across various HR functions.Duties and Responsibilities:Administrative Support:
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administrative tasks such as document preparation, communications, templating, filing, researching, taking meeting minutes, maintaining employee records, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments.
  • Assist with onboarding process for new hires.
  • Assist with offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation.
  • Pull and compile reports.
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and assisting with candidate communication.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive team environment through engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and executing engagement programs and events.
  • Assist in the administration of employee surveys, reviews, and documents.
  • Assist in coordinating, creating, and tracking training sessions and development programs.
  • Support in benefits administration and employee inquiries.
  • Assist with the communication of benefits programs to employees.
Projects:
  • Work on projects to improve processes, launch new programs, and contribute to the strategic initiatives of the HR team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience,
  • Prior experience in HR administration or administrative roles is an asset (not required).
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is an asset (not required)
Working Conditions:
  • Work schedule: 9am to 5pm (PST)
  • Work arrangement: In the office
  • Employment type: Project-based (4-5 months)
