We're looking for a Secondary/Protection Engineer to join our Energy Business Group. This role will collaborate closely with our Australian and Asia Pacific regions. The following are key attributes of the role: Collaborate with project teams to design and engineer protection and substation secondary systems for power transmission systems. Perform protection design and studies. Produce settings for IED settings for relays from common vendors (SEL, Siemens, GE and ABB) Develop philosophy, specification and scope of work documents related to protection and substation secondary systems. In conjunction with the drafting team, create drawing packages for Substation secondary design. Contribute to and prepare engineering design reports. Provide technical support to project managers and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are met. Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Conduct field visits and inspections to assess distribution infrastructure conditions, identify potential improvements, and address operational challenges. Develop and maintain accurate documentation, schematics, and records of distribution system designs and modifications. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in power engineering. What you will bring to the team: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. 5-8+years relevant experience preferably in a consulting services or power utility environment. Experience in related power utility protection design and IED settings Experience with programming relays from common vendors (SEL, siemens, GE, ABB) Knowledge of transmission system protection schemes for voltages from 11kV to 500kV Sound understanding of industry codes and standards related to power e.g. AS2067, AS/NZS 3000 Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed engineering decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality engineering documentation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of distribution system protection, control, and coordination principles. This job offer can be based either in Makati or Quezon City. Applicants must have work right for the Philippines.
