As the business continues to grow, they are strengthening their internal processes to support a more structured and scalable environment.Role Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations while working closely with the Finance and Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys collaborating with a remote team, and takes pride in accuracy and timeliness. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, supporting transaction processes, and ensuring smooth financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Accounts & Financial Operations
  • Raise and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Manage accounts receivable, including follow-ups on outstanding invoices
  • Assist with accounts payable processing as required
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support general finance and administrative tasks as needed
Systems & Processes
  • Work within Reckon Accounts Desktop via remote access
  • Utilize internal systems and tools to support finance and operations workflows
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems
  • Support ongoing improvements in financial processes and efficiency
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with the internal team to support finance operations
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders on financial matters
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative remote team environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:Essential
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General bookkeeping processes
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Reliable and consistent work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Reckon Accounts Desktop, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks
  • Experience working with Australian clients or accounting practices
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team
