- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Utilize AppFolio to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain accurate property-level financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for property owners and management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and vendor accounts.
- Track rental income, security deposits, and property-related expenses.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with year-end audits.
- Provide financial insights to support property management and investment decisions.
- Maintain organized documentation and support process improvements in accounting workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in the real estate or property management industry.
- Proficiency in AppFolio Property Management Software is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting practices.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with property managers, owners, and vendors.
