CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client, based in Florida, USA, has been delivering accounting excellence nationwide for over 25 years. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Supervision & Management: Supervise daily activities and workflow of bookkeepers. Assign, schedule, and manage workload distribution among the bookkeeping staff. Conduct hiring, training, onboarding, and performance evaluations for bookkeeping team members. Approve time-off requests, monitor attendance, and manage disciplinary actions. Client Communication & Support: Attend client onboarding meetings alongside bookkeeping team members. Serve as a point of contact for escalated client concerns or complex inquiries. Ensure timely weekly status update emails to all clients by assigned bookkeepers. Ensure that client accounts are accurate and up-to-date daily. Quality Control & Review: Review all client financial statements prepared by bookkeepers using established checklists and standards. Regularly audit work for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Reporting & Analysis: Review Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports using Fathom, with training provided. Generate internal productivity and performance reports to senior management. Participate in management meetings to present team updates and performance metrics. Training, Mentoring & Professional Development: Mentor and train bookkeepers, providing continuous guidance for skill development and career growth. Identify training needs and implement professional development plans for each team member. Process & Efficiency Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements in bookkeeping operations. Develop, update, and enforce standardized bookkeeping procedures and checklists. Team Meetings & Communication: Facilitate and lead daily huddle meetings with the bookkeeping team to review tasks, identify issues, and clarify priorities. Software & Tools Management: Oversee and monitor the team&aposs use of workflow management tools and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Canopy). Provide training and support to ensure effective and consistent use of bookkeeping systems and software. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA is a plus Minimum of 3-5 years of US accounting experience in a US-based firm, plus 1-2 years of management or team lead experience Proven expertise in reviewing and analyzing financial statements with accuracy and insight Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO); experience with Canopy is a strong advantage Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for team coordination and client interaction Strong critical thinking and independent judgment in managing accounting workflows High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy across all financial records and reports Skilled in identifying issues and providing practical, proactive solutions Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities to support and guide team members effectively ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Reliable, stable and high-speed internet A dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions, ensuring confidentiality and optimal focus on tasks.
