The Investment Officer will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting investments in early stage (Series A & B). The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in financial analysis, market research, and strategic thinking, with a passion for technology and innovation. WHAT IS THE JOB LIKE Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, networking and inbound inquiries. Assessment and Due Diligence: Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses including market sizing, competitive landscape assessments, business model evaluation, traction, founder's backgrounds, financial modeling, potential returns, etc. Preparation of Investment Cases: Prepare investment presentations and memos. Post-Closing Support: Coordinate and track post-closing deliverables such as executed agreements, funding confirmations, supporting documents, compliance, communication, etc. and ensure all relevant internal systems and stakeholders are updated accordingly. Pipeline and CRM Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deals, contacts, and interactions in the company's CRM system to ensure visibility and continuity across the investment lifecycle. Portfolio Monitoring and Support: Monitor performance review of portfolio companies and identify opportunities for value-add in conjunction with the company's strategy team and connect them with relevant business units within the conglomerate. Market Intelligence: Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics relevant to the company's strategic focus areas. Prepare deep-dive sector reports and identify market opportunities and potential companies that match the company's investment thesis. Internal Collaboration: Liaise with internal business units to ensure alignment of investment activities with legal, treasury, corporate strategy, sustainability, etc. and other stakeholders. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor WHO ARE YOU Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent. MBA or equivalent is a plus, but not necessary. 5 - 8 years' experience in the field of finance, investment banking, management consulting, or tech startup. Strong in analytical skills, market research and insight generation. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Naturally interested in emerging technologies and innovation. Amenable to Deployment: Must be willing to work within the JG Summit Holdings, Inc. Corporate VC of the Gokongwei Group, JG Digital Equity Ventures (JGDEV) Nice to Have: Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques Familiarity with venture deal structures, term sheets, and cap tables.
