No problem is too complex for their team of experienced industry professionals.Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:As a CPA Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. You will handle key accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing while supporting audits and financial reporting. This role also involves analyzing financial data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting with expense management systems like RAMP to support overall business performance.Duties and Responsibilities:Job Summary:Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role is crucial for supporting the accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding trends and variances.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Assist with maintenance of client T&E platform (RAMP)
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
  • Weekly payrolls will take two days per week and involve importing data from the UK payroll team into their system.
  • Cash posting represents a daily activity along with cash reporting processes.
RequirementsMust-have Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be a licensed CPA.
  • One to two years of public accounting experience serves as the minimum requirement, with two to three years being preferred.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
  • Month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Account reconciliations and journal entries (as this position will be primarily hands-on, involving booking entries and reconciliations rather than review or oversight duties).
  • Experience supporting audits and working with auditors.
  • Exposure to payroll processing and/or coordination with international teams (e.g., UK payroll) is a plus.
  • Experience in cash management (cash posting, cash reporting).
  • Familiarity with expense management platforms (e.g., Ramp) or similar tools is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems, preferably Sage Intacct (highly preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, trends, and variances.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work EST hours onsite on a full-time basis.
  • Currently based in Cebu or open to relocating to Cebu.
Advantageous/Nice to Have:
  • Experience in construction accounting is an advantage
  • Background working with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred
  • Tax experience is a big plus
  • RAMP and Sage Intact knowledge.
