Overall Role Purpose:
  • Manage the Network Control Group (NCG, GTW acc, Linehaul) to effectively manage the real time response to fiight and shipment incidents that occur within the Gateway. Manage and lead the activation of fiight contingency plans and transportation movements.
  • Manage unit handling duty lAS invoicing for MNL GTW clearances and perform admin functions in lAS for charge code maintenance, account exemption, and account instructions.
Accountabilities:DHL Customers
  • Provide proactive and immediate response to external customers with escalated service issues
DHL Network
  • Provide tracing service for the network and interface with local country customer service on service incidence and inquiries
Gateway Manager
  • Support the strategic business interest, development of annual NCG plan and strategies, implementation of plans, setting of performance targets and infrastructure development.
  • Ensure Regional Must Dos are implemented and KPls achieved
  • Provide accurate and analytic performance I incident report to enhance Hub service quality / performance.
  • Carry out any task that is required by his or her superiors from time to time.
Operations Manager
  • Prepare accurate and sufficient monthly space booking to support the shipment moving through the warehouse
  • Co-ordinate contingency flights/plan so operations can action in order to avoid or minimise service impact
DHL Network Gateway & Hubs
  • Provide proactive customer notification and service recovery: real time responses to offload, technical delays, send Recap reports to the whole network.
  • Provide information on DHL network flight space allocation.
  • Provide linehaul report for Transportation Manager as required
Airlines & other linehaul providers & suppliers
  • Manage space allocation for both own network and commercial airlines to secure space and minimize offloading as directed by the Transportation Manager
  • Negotiate with airlines for ad hoc airline bookings
  • Liaise to provide day to day linehaul administration
  • Liaise to maintain contingency database (review and set up)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Minimum of 5–6 years in operations, with experience in the air express or aviation industry.
  • Strong analytical thinking, project management, and in-depth knowledge of DHL’s global air network
  • Logistics Expertise: Solid grasp of Unit Load Device (ULD) management, capacity planning, and cargo uplift procedures.
  • Operational Systems: Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and advanced software skills
Communication: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for coordinating with global stakeholders.
