The individual will be responsible for meeting defined key performance targets while adhering to departmental policies and processes
Initiate contact with customers to collect cash on unpaid invoices through phone calls and emails.
Build trust and confidence with customers, acting as their advocate when issues are raised.
Global lead for one or 2 Key Strategic accounts. this includes compiling reports for Finance and sales, escalation point for regional credit controllers where they are unable to proceed further, and also being the first point of contact for our Key clients and the link between our clients and all departments within LSEG.
Meet key performance targets and operational objectives.
Ensure adherence to the business engagement model, following touch point guidelines and making sure comments and tasks are accurately recorded in the collections' system.
Lead the decision process on disconnecting customer’s services when payments cannot be obtained.
Monitor & analyses collection trends & identify debt issues at an early stage for resolution.
Aid Regional Credit Manager in compilation of monthly credit control reporting.
Identify accounts that require special attention and act with vitality to resolve issues.
Liaise with internal and external individuals to resolve billing disputes and queries.
Work closely on client’s disputes and follow throughs to satisfactory resolution until invoices are cleared or paid.
Build links with key partners in Finance, Sales, and Operations.
Perform cash reconciliations and research of unallocated and unidentified payments.
Handle complicated cash application issues.
Take ownership of actions from debt reviews and provision meetings.
Qualifications:
Strong Collections / Collector experience
Highly motivated, task oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Shown customer service experience, ideally working with large international clients.
Strong Analytical Skills
Demonstrated success handling accounts receivable and resolving billing issues.
Ability to work under pressure and driven to achieve targets.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to details and proven track record to set and manage several priorities.
Ability to drive performance and ensure results delivery.
Strong English language - verbal, written and presentation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong skills in excel.
2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or related field
