The project: An integrated mountain resort project in Pampanga, Philippines. Located between Angeles city and New Clark city. Phase 1 works include development of an 18-hole championship golf course, banyan tree main building and resort villas, club house, and ancillary site wide infrastructure and facilities. We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking candidate to join our established and growing team in the Philippines. Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. You will prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties. You will prepare costing associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges, and present these to clients. Conducting regular site visits to check and record materials delivered to site, works progress achieved, change orders executed etc. Integrity - Always do the right thing: You will manage operations that are fiscally and ethically viable, and in accordance with the terms contracts agreed with contractors. You will work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. Reviewing and commenting on tender documents, bills of quantities, unit rates, cost estimates and participating in tender evaluation. You will use problem solving and analytical skills for resolving contract and procurement issues within the consultancy practice. Conducting change order meetings to progressively settle change orders with the contractors. You'll need to have: Proven experience in commercial management. Sound understanding of costs and timescales of work undertaken and implications of risk of failure to deliver. Proven experience in areas such as risk management and change control management. Understanding different types of contracts including the method of measurement. Setting up/reviewing current cost control systems. Advising/reviewing procurement strategy. Preparing timely estimates for construction contract packages. Preparing tender documentation. Performing procurement and tendering tasks. Preparing supporting documentation for monthly reporting to facilitate clients in assessing project financial standing. Reviewing the contractors' payment applications and supplier monthly invoices and participating in the timely preparation of monthly payment requisition. Keeping the head informed as to any changes made in the field through coordination with engineers and supervisors. Ensuring the evaluation of change orders is determined in accordance with contract conditions. Assisting in settling contractual disputes and analyzing claims and extensions of time. Finalizing the project account. Attending and chairing meetings/workshops as required. You'll also have: Negotiation skills. Analytical skills. Digitally Competent. Manages relevant stakeholders for project/s. Develops effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Good interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders. Problem solving and analytical skills for resolving cost and contract administration and procurement issues within consult.
