- Lead the end-to-end development of large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, and wind from initial conception to commercial operation.
- Engage with the technical team for feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource analysis to identify suitable project sites and assess project viability.
- Manage all aspects of project development which includes land acquisition, permitting, environmental assessments, grid interconnection, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, landowners, and project partners, to ensure successful project development and implementation.
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, including regulatory, environmental, technical, and financial risks, to ensure project success and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector in the Philippines and provide strategic guidance to senior management.
- Lead discussions and negotiations for project acquisitions and potential project development partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering large-scale renewable energy projects in the Philippines.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory, legal, and permitting requirements for renewable energy projects in the Philippines, including experience navigating regulatory processes and obtaining permits.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, landowners, and project partners.
- Experience with project acquisitions, contract management, and project structuring.
