THE OPPORTUNITYOur client is a leading insurance group with over 110 years of experience managing workers' insurance and compensation claims. They partner with employers, medical providers, and industry stakeholders to deliver market-leading return-to-work outcomes and safe work initiatives.As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Manila-based team on a hybrid work setup. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing complex regulatory reporting with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements. The role involves overseeing junior accountants, supporting the Finance Team Lead in capacity planning, and contributing to process improvements and team initiatives.The position follows a hybrid schedule, with two days onsite and three days working from home. The role is based in BGC, Taguig, with work hours from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare complex regulatory reports in compliance with accounting standards and requirements (APRA, AFSL, PCA, FBT, PTR, etc.).
Ensure data accuracy through reconciliation, variance analysis, and quality controls.
Maintain supporting documentation and manage audits.
Lead issue resolution, process improvements, and control implementation.
Supervise, train, and review the work of junior accountants.
Partner with internal teams, auditors, and regulators for efficient reporting.
Assist in capacity planning, workflow allocation, and performance reporting.
Contribute to projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Stay updated on industry trends and respond to changes.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

Minimum 6 years' experience in statutory and regulatory reporting, preferably within the insurance industry, BPO/shared services, or with an audit background.
At least 2 years' experience reviewing regulatory reports.
Strong knowledge of accounting, regulatory, and compliance requirements (APRA, IFRS, AFSL, Payment Times Reporting, FBT).
Proven experience in process and project management.
Skilled in external audit coordination and liaising with auditors.
Proficient in ERP systems; Workday preferred.
Strong technical accounting skills in preparing financial statements and regulatory reports.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Advanced MS Excel proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to quality control, documentation management, and version control.
