
Senior Accountant

- Prepare complex regulatory reports in compliance with accounting standards and requirements (APRA, AFSL, PCA, FBT, PTR, etc.).
- Ensure data accuracy through reconciliation, variance analysis, and quality controls.
- Maintain supporting documentation and manage audits.
- Lead issue resolution, process improvements, and control implementation.
- Supervise, train, and review the work of junior accountants.
- Partner with internal teams, auditors, and regulators for efficient reporting.
- Assist in capacity planning, workflow allocation, and performance reporting.
- Contribute to projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends and respond to changes.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in statutory and regulatory reporting, preferably within the insurance industry, BPO/shared services, or with an audit background.
- At least 2 years' experience reviewing regulatory reports.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, regulatory, and compliance requirements (APRA, IFRS, AFSL, Payment Times Reporting, FBT).
- Proven experience in process and project management.
- Skilled in external audit coordination and liaising with auditors.
- Proficient in ERP systems; Workday preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills in preparing financial statements and regulatory reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
